There won’t be much residents and visitors don’t know about Bridport now there’s a new official town guide.

Brainchild of Bridport Town Council and the Tourist Information Centre the new official Bridport and West Bay Town Guide for 2017-2019 aims to be an invaluable source of information for residents and businesses in the town, as well as visitors.

TIC manager Terri Foxwell said: “It showcases everything that makes Bridport and West Bay special, from its history and heritage through to the regular weekly markets, and the many other attractions and events that are unique to Bridport and West Bay.

“For residents, it lists many of the clubs, associations and recreational activities available for adults and young people.

"It details the responsibilities of the Town Council, and has useful sections on education, health and social services.   For visitors, it highlights the attractions, lists accommodation and places to visit.”

Council leader Sarah Williams added: “I am delighted that the new expanded edition has now been published.”

The new Town Guide is available for £2 from the TIC.  A copy will be given free to all residents and businesses in DT6.

It will also be available to view online on the town’s website bridportandwestbay.co.uk
