AN elderly man was flown to hospital after a "cardiac-related" incident in Lyme Regis.
The Devon Air Ambulance landed on Monmouth Beach yesterday, before the casualty was taken to hospital to treatment.
A spokeswoman for the Devon Air Ambulance Trust, said: "Our aircraft was called to Lyme Regis at 12.10 on Monday to an elderly male whose condition was cardiac-related.
"We flew him to the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital in Exeter."
Bob Bunyar witnessed the incident.
He said: "It was also attended by three paramedic cars and a proper ambulance.
"These four vehicles parking in the car park. The helicopter was on the ground for some time."
A spokesman for the South Western Ambulance Service confirmed the man was taken to hospital.
He said: "A call was received at 12.10pm to one male casualty with possible cardiac arrest.
"We attended with one ambulance, two rapid response vehicles and the air ambulance was also at the scene. The casualty was taken to the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital by air ambulance."
