A WOMAN has been charged with driving offences after a car was found overturned on a country lane.
Police were called to Stonebarrow Lane in Charmouth at 2.40pm on Wednesday to a blue Ford Fiesta on its roof.
A spokesman for Bridport, Beaminster and Lyme Regis Neighbourhood Policing Teams, said: “When officers attended there was no one with the vehicle, and with concern for the welfare of the driver and occupants a search of the area was conducted."
The police helicopter was involved.
Police said later an 18-year-old woman from Lyme Regis has been charged with drink driving and bailed to appear before Weymouth Magistrates’ Court.
