The A35 has re-opened in West Dorset following a crash.

Emergency services were called shortly before 3pm to reports of a crash near the Uploders turning, half-a-mile form Bridport.

A spokesman for Dorset Police said the crash involved one vehicle - a Land Rover Discovery - registered to a Portland man.

The Land Rover overturned and a lamppost has been damaged.

Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service attended and freed a woman from the vehicle.

A spokesman for South Western Ambulance Service said they received a call at 2.40pm.

They attended with a rapid response vehicle and an ambulance.

There were two people in the vehicle - a man and a woman - and neither sustained injuries.

The road has since reopened but there is still hevay traffic in the area.

First Dorset says its X51 service has been diverted along the Coast Road.
