A RESTAURANT in the heart of West Bay has been enjoying feeding some of the stars of Broadchurch.

Filming for the third and final series of the show has been taking place in the town over the past few months and recently some of the cast and crew have popped in to the Station Kitchen.

Stars Olivia Colman, David Tennant and Sir Lenny Henry all dined there and kindly posed for pictures with staff while enjoying the visit.

Claire Moore, from the Station Kitchen, said: “The Broadchurch cast and crew were all so lovely, Olivia and David enjoyed the food that much they asked for seconds.

“Olivia and David loved the carriage and told us how much they were thrilled to have been able to dine on there with us.

“Staff gave Lenny a tour and low down on the carriage and its history, he was so happy and friendly, they all were just lovely.”

The Station Kitchen is run by the Sausage and Pear Catering Company and is based on the edge of the Old West Bay Station platform.

It was turned in to a restaurant late last year.

It is the second time that Sausage and Pear has been chosen to exclusively cater for the cast and crew while they are in West Bay.

Claire said: “We feel extremely privileged that they chose us to feed them and put a smile on their faces after long, cold windy days and evenings filming by the sea.”

The cast got the chance to dine in the newly refurbished carriage that was used during the battle of the Somme to transport injured troops back from the war.

Broadchurch filming has been back in the area over the last few weeks, with the crew spotted in Little Bredy and also filming on the famous cliffs in West Bay.

Lenny Henry is a new addition to the cast for this series along with the likes of Julie Hesmondhalgh and Charlie Higson.

The finale to the show is thought to have recently been filmed with hundreds of people gathering around West Bay holding torches in the air.

To find out how exactly the show will end though you will have to wait until next year when the series airs.
