A COUPLE on holiday in Lyme Regis and Bridport are appealing for help after the wife lost her wedding and engagement rings.

Tom Ovens and his wife Kim from Bristol were enjoying strolling along the beach and the shops and sometime during the day lost both rings.

Tom said: "We enjoyed the beach and a wander around the shops.

"Later in the evening devastatingly we noticed that my wife's wedding and engagement ring were missing.

"We have no idea what happened to them.

"We have retraced our steps from the day, searched all of our luggage and the car but had no success.

"We have left our details with tourist information, filed the lost property with the police and left details with all of the shops we'd visited.

"We can't think what else to try so are desperately hoping that someone finds them and can help us."

Luckily the couple had a picture of the rings taken on the couple's honeymoon in Woolacombe a year ago.

Tom said they'd been planning on getting the rings resized as Kim had them fitted when she was heavily pregnant and they were now too big.
