ORGANISERS of this year's Bridport Carnival have lalelled the event a succeess.
The carnival procession was led by Carnvial Queen Asha Ali, with Princess Jes Boylin and attendants Molly Rayner and Chloe West. The procession went ahead on Saturday evening, despite wet and windy conditions.
The start of the event was also delayed while an incident was dealt with by the police.
Hundreds of people lined the streets of the town to watch community groups and local businesses take part in the procession on Saturday evening.
A statement from the organisers said: "Thank you so much to the people of Bridport for turning out to to watch another great carnival.
"Our apologies for the delayed start, owing to an incident which is now being dealt with by the police."
