POLICE are urging people not to leave personal items in parked cars following a theft at a west Dorset beauty spot.
On Thursday, three rucksacks were taken from an unattended vehicle at the Lambert's Castle car park near Marshwood. The rucksacks contained personal items.
PSCO Alex Bishop from Bridport, Beaminster and Lyme Regis neighbourhood policing team, said:” We would like to remind anyone parking at beauty spots, or other isolated locations where your vehicle may be unattended, please do not leave personal and valuable items inside.
“Even if hidden away, this does not prevent them from being a target - take them with you, or leave them at home.
“To report any suspicious activity, or to report any information about this crime, please call Dorset Police on 101.”
