The A35 has been re-opened following an accident involving a motorcyle
The A35 had been closed at the Crown Roundabout up to Miles Cross
The motorcycle is the only vehicle involved in the incident.
Dorset Police said that they were called shortly after 6.30pm by the ambulance service to the accident at the Crown Roundabout.
It took place near the recycling centre.
Police added that they were there assisting with traffic control.
An ambulance service spokesman said there is one male casualty but it appears that he is being treated at the scene.
It was originally reported that the B3517 was closed going towards West Bay.
The road re-opened at around 8.30pm.
