TV star Jeremy Clarkson has been in Dorset filming for his new series with Amazon Prime.

The presenter enjoyed a “particularly unterrible” Dorset day.

The former Top Gear presenter spent today tweeting about the enjoying the delights of the county.

This afternoon, a British Army spokesman said: “I can confirm that the British Army is working with Clarkson’s new Amazon Prime car series at Lulworth Ranges in Dorset.”

Starting with an early morning, the TV star tweeted a picture of what is believed to be Wareham River with the caption: “It's a particularly unterrible morning in Dorset.”

This was quickly followed by a view of his commute and his experience of “Dorset’s rush hour” – also known as a herd of cattle crossing.

A later tweet showed the view looking down from the turret of a tank, down towards a film crew in a Land Rover in front, captioned: “My view today.”

The shoot, believed to be on the Lulworth Ranges, could well be to do with the as yet untitled Amazon motoring show he and pals James May and Richard Hammond are working on.

Amazon and the army have been contacted for a comment, but have yet to reply to the Echo request.

Bridport and Lyme Regis News:

On Wednesday the trio posted a video on Facebook, trying to find a new name for their as yet untitled motoring show.

Fans are being asked for their input, after the video shows the three getting distracted from their work. Jeremy Clarkson told his 6.1million Twitter followers: “I have joined Facebook and posted a video of our latest efforts to find a name for the Amazon car show.”

He captioned the tongue-in-cheek video “three easily distracted men.”

It shows Clarkson, Hammond and May sitting around a table trying to work out a new name for the show.

Hammond says they have had an email from Amazon saying it’s been nine months and they still don’t have a name.

Whilst discussing their options, May declares: “I’m going to have a custard cream.” Before declaring they could make up their own expression like ‘ace biscuits.’

He continues: “But if someone says ‘do you like my new shirt?’. . .‘Yeah, that’s ace biscuits.’”

To which the others reply in unison: “NO”

Hammond states: “Amazon is just a single word they took and turned it into something.”

Clarkson then starts suggesting other river names to him, including Nile, Zambezi and his “personal favourite” Erewash.

The video ends like the three getting distracted by websites for customising your car or your sunglasses.

Keep your eyes peel petrol heads, Dorset could very much be featuring in the new series in the autumn.
