Police investigation launched after speed camera set alight on A35
A SPEED camera which set alight on the A35 has sparked a police investigation.
Dorset Fire and Rescue Service were called to Chideock Hill this morning at around 2.15am.
A crew from Bridport Fire Station extinguished the fire using one hose reel jet.
The situation was brought under control by 2.40am.
A spokesman for Dorset Police said: "We did attend to assist Dorset Fire and Rescue.
"It is being treated as criminal damage."
Police are now investigating the cause of the fire.
