WEST BAY has been put very firmly on the map by a lover of British television from America.

Tim Ritz, from Washington DC, has put together a map of where British TV shows are filmed and set.

Of course, making it on to the map is Broadchurch, which was filmed at West Bay and around West Dorset.

On his website, Tim says that one day, when watching Foyle’s War, his wife Kolleen asked where exactly in England Hastings was.

He then drew her a map of the UK on a post-it note to show her where the programme was filmed and before long she was asking where more and more programmes were set and filmed.

So from there, using, IMDB, Google Maps and Wikipedia and with the help of a British graduate students, Tim made the map.

The map has since gone on to gain widespread publicity around the internet, due to its level of detail and prints can now even be ordered.
