A KITCHEN-fitting company from Weymouth has served up a real treat for one lifesaving charity.

Kitchencraft, which is based on the Granby Industrial Estate, has donated £3,500 to the Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance.

The firm, which also specialises in bathrooms as well as kitchens, has held a Christmas raffle every year for the past decade to raise funds for the charity, and this year’s £426.05 took the firm’s total to £3,500.

Brian Cookson, owner of Kitchencraft, said: “The Air Ambulance provides such a vital service to the community in Dorset.

“The cost of an average mission is approximately £2,500 and the charity requires funds of over £2 million to continue their essential service.

“The helicopter and crew are in operation 365 days per year and since their launch having carried out over 10,000 missions, helping those in need across Dorset and Somerset who are in life threatening situations.

“It is our pleasure to help support them and I would like to thank everyone who took part and donated prizes in the raffle.”

Following the donation, the firm received a certificate of recognition from the charity, and has also vowed to continue supporting the charity throughout 2016.

Kitchencraft, founded in 1987, is one of Dorset’s most well respected kitchen and bathroom companies, which has recently completed its 5,000th installation and has continued to go from strength to strength in recent years.

It has developed aloyal customer base and most of the clients come to Kitchencraft via recommendation and a reputation for first class kitchens, bathrooms and living spaces.
