A MAN was taken to hospital after being robbed while walking home from a pub in Bridport.

Dorset police are appealing for information after a man suffered a head injury while walking along St Andrew’s Road.

At around 12.50am on Saturday, November 28, a 26-year-old man was walking home alone from The Kings Head pub near Bradpole when he was pushed to the floor and had his wallet stolen.

He suffered minor head injuries and was taken to Dorset County Hospital as a precaution.

Detective Constable Andy Marsh of Weymouth CID said: “Unfortunately the victim was not able to get a description of the offender.

“I am appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or anyone with information to contact me on 101.

“All calls will be treated in strict confidence.”
