POLICE are appealing for witnesses after two cars were stolen and damaged around the Dorchester area.
In the first incident, a dark green coloured Land Rover Freelander was stolen from Cambridge Road, Victoria Park between 8.30pm on Wednesday October 28 and 8.15am on Thursday October 29.
This vehicle has since been recovered abandoned near Came Golf Course, although damage had been caused to the tyres and the ignition barrel.
During the same few days, a black coloured Ford Fiesta was stolen from the rear of a house in Dorchester Road, Cerne Abbas between 11.30pm on Thursday October 29 and 8.10am the following day.
The car was later found at Batcombe having been set on fire and completely destroyed. Dorchester police would like to hear from anyone who was in the Cerne Abbas or Batcombe areas and saw anything suspicious.
