A BURGLARY suspect was caught red-handed in Dorchester thanks to an eagle-eyed member of the public, police have said.
A lock-up shop unit at the Buttermarket, Poundbury was broken into at about 11.05pm on Sunday, November 1 but an eagle eyed member of the public saw what was going on and called Dorset Police.
Police officers responded and made their way to the scene - and the offender was located still inside the premises.
A force spokesman said a man has now been charged with committing burglary.
