A MAN recently jailed for bundling a woman into the boot of a car before later striking her has admitted separate drug-related offences.

Scott Graham Meyers, 31, previously of Roman Road, Lyme Regis, initially appeared at Dorchester Crown Court on Monday for trial.

Meyers was charged with four counts relating to the supply of cocaine.

This included being concerned in the supply of a controlled Class A drug, being in possession of a controlled Class A drug with intent to supply, supplying a controlled Class A drug to another, and for permitting premises to be used in the supply of a controlled Class A drug.

Meyers admitted to being concerned in the supply of a controlled Class A drug and being in possession of a controlled Class A drug with intent to supply. The two additional counts will lie on file.

Tim Dracass, prosecuting, said police officers visited Meyers at his former address in June last year. They found him among a number of people sat around a large table with evidence of drug taking having taken place.

A search of the premises found 5.8g of cocaine stored in a kitchen cupboard, a set of digital scales, and £150 in cash. In addition, a small quantity of cocaine was found in Meyers’ shorts.

In his first police interview, Meyers admitted the cocaine belonged to him but denied he supplied it to others.

The court heard text messages later found on Meyers’ phone indicated Meyers was involved in supplying drugs.

As reported in the News, Meyers was jailed for three years earlier this month after being found guilty of an offence of assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

The offence related to an incident on Christmas Eve 2014, which saw Meyers put his victim in the boot of a car before later striking her.

Recorder Levene sentenced Meyers to three years in prison for both drug offences, which will run concurrently to the sentence he is already serving.
