CELTIC chief executive Peter Lawwell has hailed the small band of supporters who travelled to Moscow this week to cheer on Tony Mowbray's side.

Around 130 fans made the trip to Russia as Celtic celebrated a 2-0 win over Dinamo Moscow.

As well as splashing out on flights and accommodation, supporters had to purchase a £115 travel visa just to gain entry to the country.

Lawwell said: "Our supporters have gained a fantastic reputation and this was another example of the lengths they will go to support the team.

"It wouldn't have been easy for those supporters to travel to Moscow but, once again, their backing of the team was immense. They were a credit to Celtic Football Club.

Meanwhile, Landry N'Guemo has been named in Paul Le Guen's first Cameroon squad.

The on-loan Celtic midfielder has made just three appearances for his country.

Elsewhere, former Celtic manager Gordon Strachan has no idea what lies ahead for him as he enjoys a sabbatical from football.

"I've never had plans," he said. "I kind of just turn up at a place and think, How did I get here? This is great fun'.

"If you said to me, What are you thinking about doing next?' I really don't know."
