Prosecutors will today outline the case against a former pub landlord accused of killing five prostitutes.
Steve Wright, 49, of Ipswich, Suffolk, denies murdering Gemma Adams, 25, Tania Nicol, 19, Anneli Alderton, 24, Paula Clennell, 24, and Annette Nicholls, 29.
After two days of legal discussions, prosecutor Peter Wright QC was opening the Crown's case against Wright at Ipswich Crown Court at 10.30am.
The five women were found at remote locations near Ipswich during a 10-day period in December 2006. They all worked as prostitutes in the town.
Detectives first launched an inquiry after Miss Nicol vanished in October 2006.
Wright was charged late on December 21 2006 after being arrested two days earlier at his home.
