FIRST the dance, then the kiss!
PC Steve Budd is the lucky recipient of all that love from Xena – Dorset Police dog section’s newest recruit.
She comes to the force thanks to Sniffer Dogs UK and International (SDUKI).
SDUKI was established in March 2011 in direct response to police budget cuts that have seen dog numbers down from 1,296 in 2008 to less than half that now.
Inspector Neil Leat, of the Dog Section, said: “Police dogs are vital members of the Dorset Police family delivering policing across the county. Our dogs have tracked vulnerable missing people and dangerous offenders and we are delighted to have received the help and support of charity SDUKI to welcome Xena as the latest member of our canine team.”
