THE NEW chairman of the Bridport RNLI received a cheque for £250 from the club before their agm at Haddon House Hotel last week.
Members raised the money during the annual RNLI open competition during the summer and Martin Newbury accepted the cheque and stressed that the organisation relies on donations in order to operate.
Club officers reported on another successful year and a new family subscription rate was introduced for members in 2015. Membership information can be obtained from the Angling Centre, West Bay.
