Thorncombe Village Shop has just celebrated its fifth birthday, treating customers and volunteers to a spread featuring some of its finest fare.
The shop, which is community-owned and staffed largely by volunteers, is going from strength to strength.
Committee member Amy Ralph said: “This shop has become the glue that has the village together.”
Future plans include a new EPOS system and fridges, and continued community events.
The shop is open every day, and walkers and cyclists are often found recharging their batteries in the café.
