BOWLS were the theme of the day for the Axminster Catenians as many members learnt new skills.
Following a very successful croquet morning teach-in, Axminster Catenian Bob Turpin invited local Catenians and their wives for an indoor bowls teach-in at Cloakham Lawn Sports Centre.
Bill Stead of the Axminster Cantenians said: “Coffee was very kindly provided by Sue Turpin, which was followed by lunch at the Hunters Moon.
“Everyone enjoyed it, with one or two members declared promising.”
Catenians are Roman Catholic men who meet regularly for social activities – often with their families. They are part of an international organisation with over 10,500 members, who recently celebrated their Centenary.
Members of Axminster Catenians are drawn from East Devon, West Dorset and South Somerset. For more information visit thecatenians.com
