New volunteers are needed for the town library’s royal voluntary service which delivers books to those struggling to visit the library themselves.
Bridport Library has a team of dedicated volunteers who visit various homes on a regular basis, delivering books to them free of charge.
The service is funded by Dorset Library Service and is available across Dorset to anyone who cannot easily get to their local library.
It can be provided on a temporary basis as well as long term.
All Royal Voluntary Service volunteers receive ongoing training and support.
As well as the home library service the RVS can provide befriending, help with transport or shopping and more.
