A DORSET beauty queen who beat the bullies is going from strength to strength after scooping even more titles.

Danni De-Bear, 21, from Piddlehinton, has won the Miss Fresh Face UK and is also part of the Team England squad, which will compete at the Miss European competition in Ireland in October.

She was crowned Miss Natural Beauty at DreamStreet United Kingdom and Northern Ireland Finals and won the People’s Choice and the Miss titles at the Face of the Globe London heat.

Danni began taking part in pageants after suffering at the hands of bullies during her teenage years and said her success has helped boost her confidence.

She has also raised thousands of pounds for charity, including Julia’s House and the Weymouth lifeboat.

In 2011 Danni was crowned Miss Weymouth Lifeboat and supported a Dorset Echo-backed campaign to protest against the closure of the Portland Coastguard Station.

She raised money for the vital service after seeing them at work and meeting the volunteers.

Danni said: “I had been bullied throughout secondary school due to my weight and height. I experienced all sorts of physical and mental abuse at the hands of the bullies. It was a horrendous time. But, when I was 17, my mum entered me into a beauty pageant. It was a life changing experience.”

She will travel to Disneyland Paris in October to take part in the Face of the Globe final.

Danni said: “I was shocked and delighted to win the London heat. I had only decided a few days before the event to take part, so hadn’t had the time to do any community appearances or charity fundraising. However, with my title comes the responsibility of raising as much as I possibly can for the Rainbow Child Foundation, the official charity associated with Face of the Globe.”

Proud mum and self-proclaimed ‘number one fan’ Tina said: “Danni makes me so proud. I get so nervous before she comes out on stage but she is always amazing. I cry every time I see her out there.”
