LYME REGIS: Five members of the crew of the RNLI lifeboat in Lyme Regis travelled to Northamptonshire to jump with the RAF Falcons parachute team.
Elliott Herbert, Ritchie Durrant and his brother Jack, Dave Bisson and Murray Saunders accepted an invitation to jump when the Falcons gave their display during Lyme Regis Lifeboat Week in July.
The group travelled to Sibson Airfield, near Peterborough, where the Falcons staged a friends and family day for charity.
Lifeboat helmsman Elliott Herbert said: “The Falcons love coming to Lyme Regis for Lifeboat week and they kept saying that some of us should visit them and jump with them. It was Sgt Rob Priestley who made the offer this year while we were chatting in the sailing club after their Lifeboat Week performance. I thought: ‘Why not?’ and asked a few of the crew if they would like to come.
“We traveled to Northamptonshire for what was a fantastic experience, if a little daunting.”
