CHAMPIONS: Denise Austin and Lucy Boulton
THE women’s Beach Volleyball Classic was won by two legends of the beach in Denise Austin and Lucy Boulton.
Austin claimed her ninth title on Weymouth Beach while Boulton bagged her third.
The duo overpowered reigning champions Gabrieka Medrika and Laura Plonka 21-19, 21-13.
The men’s title was won, after an epic three-set battle, by Mark Garcia Kidd from Brighton and American Taylor Wilson who defeated Phil Smith and Ollie Kimber 19-21, 22-20, 15-8.
The event proved a huge success with large crowds watching throughout the two days and, in particular, the finals on Sunday afternoon.
