ST Gabriel’s Strolling Players are putting on two performances of their summer show in aid of local causes.

The first takes place on Wednesday, July 30, from 7pm at Bridport Community Hospital.

All money raised will be given to the Hospital League of Friends, which funds extra equipment.

The group’s members also run the coffee shop and help patients on the ward.

The second performance will be held in Morcombelake on Saturday, August 1. The show starts at 7pm but people are welcome from 6pm to enjoy the garden and views.

The proceeds from this performance will be donated to Friends of St Gabriel’s, the village church.

The Friends recently staged the church’s first flower festival and exhibition of locally-made crafts.

The summer show is called You Must Remember This; from Spotlight to Searchlight and features a programme of songs and a few memories from music-hall days and WW1.

Following these two performances the Strolling Players will be Lambeth Walking along to various care home where invited, to entertain the patients and visitors there.

Call 01297 489658 for tickets to each performance.
