THE full programme for Lifeboat Week in Lyme Regis has been revealed.
In addition to the RAF Falcons parachute display team on July 20 and the Red Arrows on July 24, there will be dozens of family activities running from July 19 to 26.
Some old favourites are returning along with a number of new events.
The tug o’ war across the harbour entrance, in which the RNLI crew pit their pulling power against the coastguards, is returning after three years.
Among the new attractions is the chance to throw a wet sponge at lifeboat crew in the stocks, a model aircraft display, fossil polishing and mini golf.
The ever-popular bath tub race from Cobb Gate to the harbour is scheduled again, and the children’s crab fishing contest is always a crowd-puller. Last year’s Lifeboat Week raised more than £30,000 for the RNLI charity.
The 48-page Lifeboat Week programme, with full details and timings of all events is now available at the lifeboat shop at the harbour and throughout Lyme Regis and Charmouth.
