Dorset Clinical Commissioning Group seek views on assisted conception consultation
Updated 9:06am Tuesday 15th July 2014 in News
THE Dorset Clinical Commissioning Group is encouraging people to give their views on a consultation document which proposes changes to the existing Assisted Conception policy.
The public consultation will seek views from local people until August 15.
Dr Karen Kirkham, local GP and clinical lead for maternity, reproduction and family health with NHS Dorset CCG, said: “Over the coming weeks we are asking people to consider our consultation document which details proposed changes and the reasons for them.
“We would then like people to let us know what they think by responding to a series of questions.
“We appreciate that assisted conception is a very emotive subject and are keen to stress that this is a consultation document and that no decisions have been made. However with health budgets coming under increased pressure nationally we do need to look at what we offer currently and ensure it is right for local people.
“At the end of the nine weeks we will consider all feedback we have received and develop a final recommendation.”
A copy of the consultation document is available via the NHS Dorset CCG website at www.dorsetccg.nhs.uk.
There is also a link to an online survey where anyone registered with a Dorset GP practice or living in Dorset can give their feedback.
If you require the document in an alternative format, including easy-read, email firstname.lastname@example.org or telephone 01305 368908.
