A YACHT entangled with an anchor chain and a man who injured himself during the Charmouth Challenge fun run sparked alert for coastguards.
Shortly after midday on Friday, July 4, the Jenny Irene yacht made a mayday broadcast after becoming entangled with an anchor chain in Lyme Bay.
The coastguard rescue helicopter kept a watch over the yacht until the Torbay lifeboat arrived on scene and towed the yacht to safety.
Elsewhere on Saturday, July 5, Lyme Regis coastguards alerted Portland coastguard to a 47-year-old man who had fallen and injured himself during the Charmouth Challenge fun run, shortly after 4pm.
The coastguards assisted the man until the ambulance arrived on scene.
