DORSET and Somerset Air Ambulance is calling on the general public and those who work or volunteer within the sector to submit nominations for this year’s Air Ambulance Awards of Excellence.
After winning last year’s Special Incident Award, the charity is hoping that the doctors, paramedics, staff, trustees and volunteers will receive even more nominations this year and become finalists in one or more of the nine categories on offer.
Communications manager Tracy Bartram said: “Because the Air Ambulance Awards of Excellence are judged and awarded by our peers and those who know the sector so well, it makes them extremely special. “It’s not until a patient makes contact with the charity after needing our help that we get to hear the full details of their incident and indeed find out how their recovery is going.” Anyone can nominate an individual or team by visiting www.aoaa.org.uk/aaae/ Email firstname.lastname@example.org. uk or call us on 01823 669604.
