An art group has held its first exhibition more than three years after it was first started.
Works produced by the members of the Bridport & District University of the Third Age (U3A) art group were put on display at the U3A’s monthly meeting at the Bridport United Church hall last week.
The mini-exhibition featured paintings and landscapes executed in watercolour, pastel, charcoal, pencil and acrylic. The examples chosen by group leader Roberta Bee represented work produced by the group’s half a dozen members over the past three years.
“The quality of what they have done is very good,” she said. “In the time we have been working together there has been a definite improvement and it is encouraging to see they have the confidence to work in different styles and mediums.”
The art group meets on the third Tuesday of each month at the church hall. For details, contact Roberta on 01308 861404.
