EXPERTS investigated a suspected item of ordnance on the beach at West Bay.

A member of the public raised the alarm with coastguards just before 8pm last night, Wednesday, June 11, who were training on the beach.

Members of the joint service explosive ordnance disposal team determined that the object was not ordnance and it was disposed of.
