THE prestigious Bridport and Lyme Regis News General Knowledge Trophy was this year won by the Oddfellows Arms, North Allington.
In second place came the Conservative Club A team and third equal were the Oddfellows Cricket Club and the Conservative Club B team. The Conservative Club A team deserve a mention, as they played with three members instead of the allowed four.
The competition organised by the Bridport Football Club was in its eighth year and ten teams from various organisations and clubs in the Bridport and Lyme Regis News area were entered.
Organiser Alan Kidson said he was a little disappointed with the numbers, as last year there were 12 entries, but considering that the England football team had decided to play against Peru the same night it was a very good evening.
