A MAN has been taken to hospital after the car he was driving overturned in Burton Bradstock.

Emergency services rushed to the accident which took place shortly before 9am this morning outside the coastal caravan park in Burton Bradstock.

Annings Lane is still believed to be partially blocked eastbound due to the overturned car, which is situated between Middle Street and Bredy Lane in Burton Bradstock.

A South Western Ambulance spokesman said one man has been taken to Dorset County Hospital with severe cuts to his hand.

The vehicle, a blue Renault Clio, is currently being recovered from the scene.

A Dorset Police spokesperson said: “We were alerted to one vehicle which had overturned shortly before 8.30am this morning.

“The incident involved a blue Renault Clio registered to a Bridport woman.”
