BRIDPORT Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward following a road traffic collision in Melplash.

The incident, in which a silver Daihatsu Charade was involved in a crash with a silver Vauxhall Astra, happened at about 12.55pm on Thursday, March 6 on the A3066 Bridport to Beaminster road outside the Half Moon Inn.

The driver of the Vauxhall Astra and the passengers in the Daihatsu Charade sustained minor injuries.

PC Sara Mackay, of Bridport Police, said: “I am appealing for anyone with information about this incident to contact Dorset Police. I am particularly keen to talk to the driver of a black van, which wasn’t involved in the collision but may be able to provide some information.

“I would also like to hear from anyone else who was in the area at the time and may have witnessed the collision itself.”

Witnesses and anyone with information should call Dorset Police in confidence on 101 quoting incident number 6:184.
