NETHERBURY Parish Council is hoping local businesses or individuals will step forward to give a helping hand to a dozen landmark ‘finger posts’.
There are 12 signs which need refurbishment.
The signposts originally all had round finials on the top, with Ordnance Survey map reference numbers. The cost of refurbishing each could be between £400 and £600, depending on the amount of work required. Each post has to be renovated to precise specifications under rules for Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
The parish council is prepared to help with the cost, but hope that people will make a donation.
