Following a successful 2013, Antiques Bazaar on the West Dorset/Somerset border is expanding in 2014.
Established in August 2012, Antiques Bazaar quickly became a prominent trading venue in Crewkerne’s South Street for dealers in antiques and collectables, retro and vintage clothing, kitchenalia, painted and pine furniture, and unusual items.
“The concept is one of collaborative trading where a number of individual traders rent small units within one large trading warehouse, and with one central sales point,” said co-founder Anthony Bucke.
“2013 saw the operation consolidate to more than 60 traders, with many long established professional antiques dealers taking up space.
“To meet demand from customers and traders, more units are being incorporated in a prime position in the front hall of Antiques Bazaar.”
The building that houses Antiques Bazaar was a webbing and textiles mill for decades. It also houses the Home Bakery café.
Enquiries are welcomed from all traders, but particularly dealers in books, militaria, French items, antique rugs, lighting, pine furniture, jewellery and good antiques.
