AT the Bridport Rotary Club’s Christmas dinner, Mo Williams from ‘The Gang’s All Here’ presented the cheque of the money raised from Christmas fundraisers.
The money was collected from day centre’s and old people’s homes throughout the area, as the band entertained at the venues at the Christmas parties.
The money was presented to rotary chairman Hugh King and he thanked the band, who are eight ladies from Bridport and Tony Williams, for their efforts.
The money raised will go to the Water Box foundation, which provides water survival kits for the most impoverished and disaster hit parts of the world.
It will allow the rotary club to purchase a further two boxes, which cost £150 each.
