A FESTIVE facelift is to hit Lyme Regis as local businesses get ready to decorate their shop windows in a winter wonderland theme.
Professional painters have been hired by the recently launched Lyme Regis Business group to decorate shop windows in the yuletide spirit.
Windows throughout the town will be transformed into one of the characters from the popular Christmas carol Twelve Days of Christmas, and will launch when Lyme’s Christmas lights are switched on, on November 30.
Four businesses, Onni boutique, By the Bay, Serendip and Primary Colours have already signed up to the initiative which will run until January 5.
Bee Painton, LRBG spokesperson and Serendip book store, said: “Lyme is going to be a windows wonderland this year, one big Christmas dazzler. It’s going to look beautiful, visitors will be drawn to the town just to see the splendour of a Lyme in winter.
“Windowing the Twelve Days of Christmas is one of the best ideas for decorating Lyme in decades. We are hoping every business will join in because coupled with the lights and the natural beauty of the town, it is bound to attract sight-seers all the way through the season.”
