POLICE are becoming very concerned for the welfare of a Lyme Regis man who has gone missing.

Simons Evans, 42, was last seen at his Lyme Regis home at 7.30am today.

Police have appealed to the public to trace him and have released his picture.

Chief Inspector Debbie Marsden, of Dorset Police, said: “We know that Simon has left driving a black SAAB 9-5 Vector and enquiries have revealed that he may have travelled to the Devon and Cornwall area.

“He has recently been very upset and his whole family are extremely concerned about him and want to make sure he is alright.

“I urge Simon to let know to let either the police or his family know that he is safe and well as soon as possible.”

Simon is described as six feet four inches tall, of stocky build with dark hair and a short beard.

He sometimes wears glasses, mostly for driving and reading.

It is believed that he is wearing blue jeans, a grey Weird Fish top and a brown jacket.

Chief Insp Marsden added: “If anyone sees Simon or knows of his whereabouts please contact us urgently on 101.”
