Police are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information to come forward after the theft of a stone planter from outside a property in Broadwindsor.
The incident happened at approximately 11pm on Thursday February 21 in the High Street.
Police Constable Neil Gauden said: "I believe the stone planter is very old and worth about £200.
“It has the appearance of a square water trough and weighs around 300kg.
“I am keen to trace the stolen item and would urge anyone who may have witnessed this theft take place, or may have information about those responsible, to contact Dorset Police.”
Witnesses and anyone with information should call Dorset Police in confidence on 101, quoting incident number 22:88. Alternatively, call the free and anonymous Crimestoppers line on 0800 555 111 where mobile phone tariffs may apply.
