Police are encouraging residents in Bridport to ensure their windows and doors are kept secure.
Bridport Safer Neighbourhood Teams are reminding members of the public to keep their property safe and lock their doors and windows.
Police Community Support Officer Mark Brown said: “We have seen a few suspicious incidents recently involving people entering properties through insecure doors.
“Be aware and identify who is at your door before you let anyone in. Make sure doors and windows are not left open and are secure – even if you are in the house. “We don’t want our communities to worry – just be extra vigilant.
“Anyone who sees anything suspicious contact Dorset Police on 101 to report it immediately. We need to work together to make Dorset safer.”
