People’s bank covers Dorset

THE people's bank of Dorset is expanding.
The First Dorset Credit Union has received approval to enlarge its Common Bond area of operations to cover the whole of Dorset.
Benefits include affordable loans and secure savings.
The head office will remain in Dorchester but many of its services can be accessed online or by telephone.
President Richard Thorley said: “We are delighted that the Financial Services Authority has approved this amendment to our rules as it will potentially increase the number of members as word gets around.
“The enlarged area will not incur any increase in working capital so the change can only be beneficial to the First Dorset Credit Union and members.”
