THE public will get the chance to look around Beaminster School's new sports hall next week.
Students there are aiming to encourage the community to make use of the building.
At the last governors' meeting it was agreed the public should be able to use the hall in the evenings, weekends and one afternoon a week, totalling about 35 hours a week, as well as during school holidays.
But the governors do not want the cost of letting it to come from the school's educational budget.
Facilities at the new hall can be viewed by the public between 5pm and 7pm on Tuesday (July 8).
