ARTSREACH is offering another fun-filled Summer Supplement this year, providing young people across Dorset a range of creative holiday activities.

Whatever your creative streak, there's something for everyone to get stuck into this summer, covering music, dance and theatre, crafts, jewellery-making and circus skills.

The season kicks off with a Circus Skills workshop, taking place at Gold Hill Fair in Shaftesbury on July 5, with the fun-loving Circus Berzercus.

Come along and learn a variety of circus skills, including wire rope walking and plate spinning. Afterwards, don't miss the open-air evening show A Komedy of Errors at Shaftesbury Abbey.

Claire Camble-Hutchins makes a welcome return this year with her tremendous drama and dance workshops, which enable you to learn and perform a stage show in a day This year you can try Joseph and his Technicolor Dreamcoat (Sandford Orcas, July 30), Hairspray (Durweston, August 5, and Broadwindsor, August 13), Oliver! (Cerne Abbas, August 19), Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (Winterbourne Whitechurch, August 20, and Thornford, August 26) and High School Musical 2 (Sturminster Newton Exchange, August 27).

Pure Funk lead Street Dance at Winterborne Whitechurch on Monday, July 28 and there is even something for very young children as Early Years music specialists Nickie Fidgin and Gill Bough offer a range of music sessions suited to very young age groups, at Puddletown on Wednesday, July 30.

For the older age groups wanting to get creative with music, Noah Messomo will be leading his highly enjoyable vibrant drumming workshop Beat the African Drums at three venues this summer: Sandford Orcas (Monday, August 11), Sturminster Newton Exchange (Thursday, August 14) and Evershot (Wednesday, August 27).

If you get a kick out of crafts, Lal Hitchcock's Junk Art Workshop (Sixpenny Handley, Thursday, August 28) is always very popular.

The full Summer Supplement is available from Artsreach on 01305 269512 and you can also pick up brochures from libraries, TICs, and online at artsreach.co.uk
