A GROUP of Weymouth artists and craftspeople will blaze a trail around the borough this month thanks to one of their most popular annual events.

Artwey are rounding up their successful summer of cultural exhibitions, and giant wall workshops, with a September Art Trail.

The trail takes you round Weymouth, Portland and Upwey , where you can visit the old school hall to see an exciting and diverse mix of paintings, pottery, hand-made jewellery and hats created by artists Roy Winstanley, Merete Bates, Paula Clifton, Susan R Hughes, Andrea Frankham-Hughes and Bill Crumbleholme.

The trail also takes you to the open studios of felt artist Di Patterson, figurative artists Susan R Hughes and Liz Wright, as well as the opportunity to visit the newly opened Brewers Quay workshop, Harbourside Studios and enter Cat Owen’s porch of curiosities.

There are also a number of cafes on the trail, which will include displays. For information about dates and times you can download a trail map by visiting artwey.co.uk or look out for Artwey signs and maps in libraries and venues around the borough throughout September.
