FOUR comedians perform at the Lyme Regis Comedy Club this weekend, headlined by the lead actor from I Daniel Blake alongside Karen Bayley, Jack Campbell, and Tom Glover.

Dave Johns famously played the lead in Ken Loach’s critically acclaimed and multi award winning film, which won the much coveted Palme D’or at the 2016 Cannes Film Festival. For the same role he won a Bafta.

As well as an actor, he’s a celebrated comic who has made guest appearances on many television programmes, including Never Mind the Buzzcocks, 8 Out of Ten Cats and The Football’s On. Dave is one of the most respected and best loved stand up comics working on the British comedy circuit, and is an accomplished stage actor and improviser.

Jack Campbell is a stand-up comedian. Originally from rural Cambridgeshire, Jack now lives in Leicester and gigs all over the country. Winner of English Comedian of the Year 2014, Jack and has performed in Australia, Germany, Finland, and Estonia.

Karen Bayley made a name for herself by reaching the semi-final of the prestigious BBC New Comedy Awards and was later crowned the winner of the 2001 Komedia New Act prize. She was the first female winner of the Comedy Store King Gong award and reached the finals of both the BBC New Comedy Awards Showcase and Babycham Funny Women.
