A DAYTIME disco is being held for children and adults to raise money for Lyme Regis Carnival.
The Marine Theatre in Lyme Regis is inviting children aged between 0 and 10 and their families to hit the dance floor for a pre-carnival party, with plenty of time left for the main event. With a real DJ spinning records from the 70s to present day, this young people’s ‘club night’ is very different to a normal ‘children’s party’, with face painting and craft activities.
Theatre manager Sophia Moseley said: "I love the Lyme Regis Carnival. There’s a lot going on in our town, but this is one of my favourite events. I am pleased to announce our support of it with this innovative event for the whole family. See you on the dance-floor!"
Organisers say the disco will be a safe environment for the children to have a great time, whilst adults can socialise and have a drink. Bridport’s DJ Shoei will provide the music, and Marvellous Makers will be on hand with arts and craft.
*Children Love Disco, Saturday August 11, £3 children / £2 adults in advance and on the door, 10 per cent off for Theatre Friends.
